1x Pieced Footed Charcuterie Board
Instead of cutting a charcuterie board out of a big expensive piece of wood, let's use cheap 1x boards and piece them together to make any size wood charcuterie board. It starts with a 1x2 as the handle, extended past the rest of the boards. Then just cut 1x boards and add to the sides to expand the width. Measure and cut the "feet" to secure all the boards together. This simple project makes a great display, hostess gift, or serving piece! with diagrams, build details and more! Step-by-step Instructions
Cut boards with a chop saw or circular saw.
Layout and glue the main boards edge to edge. Measure and cut the "feet" boards and glue and nail to the back. Round corners with a jigsaw. Sand well. Advanced Method: If you'd like to make your board a little nicer, you can notch the 1x2 into the bottom. For more details, head on over to visit Jaime Costiglio's Build Post.

Finishing
Sand all surfaces, starting with a medium grit and finishing with fine. Wipe off the dust, fill any holes or gaps with wood filler, and sand smooth once dry. Apply primer if you're painting, then finish with your choice of paint or stain and seal with a durable clear topcoat. For outdoor projects, use exterior-rated primer, paint or stain, and sealer so the piece stands up to the weather.
