Shopping List
- 1 - 2x6x10
- 2 - 5.5" x 6' Pickets
- 2-1/2" long exterior decking screws (for attaching boxes to legs)
- 1-1/4" galvanized nails or staples (for making boxes)
Cut List
- 4 - 2x6 @ 5-1/4" both ends cut at 15 degrees off square, ends are NOT parallel
- 4 - 5-1/2" wide cedar fence pickets @ 23-1/2" (sides of boxes)
- 2 - 5-1/2" wide cedar fence pickets @ 20-1/2" (cut to fit, bottom of boxes)
- 2 - 2x6 @ 34" both ends cut at 15 degrees off square, ends ARE parallel

Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Attach cedar fence pickets to front and back of the planter sides.
Step 2
place cedar fence picket bottom inside the planter.
Step 3
Cut the legs as shown, first by cutting as directed in the cut list. Then cut the back portion of the leg at the top off, at 90 degrees to the top cut. 2 - 2x6 @ 34" both ends cut at 15 degrees off square, ends ARE parallel
Step 4
Attach planter boxes to the legs with boxes flush to back of the legs.
Finishing
Sand all surfaces, starting with a medium grit and finishing with fine. Wipe off the dust, fill any holes or gaps with wood filler, and sand smooth once dry. Apply primer if you're painting, then finish with your choice of paint or stain and seal with a durable clear topcoat. For outdoor projects, use exterior-rated primer, paint or stain, and sealer so the piece stands up to the weather.
