Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Drill three 3/4" pocket holes along the top edge of all of the dividers. Attach with glue and 1-1/4" pocket holes to the underside of the top. You can use the 1x2s or shelf pieces (cut to length) as spacers to help guide the placement of the middle dividers.

Step 2
Glue and nail the 1x2 trim to the underside of the top with 1-1/4" brad nails.

Step 3
Drill 3/4" pocket holes on both ends of each of the shelf boards, three per end. Attach with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws and glue. Scrap wood pieces cut to 12-1/4" long can be used as spacers to help guide shelf placement.

Step 4
Attach back with glue and 3/4" nails or staples (preferred but not essential). Attach to all fixed shelves and dividers.

Step 5
Attach trim pieces to the front with brad nails and wood glue.

Finishing
Sand all surfaces, starting with a medium grit and finishing with fine. Wipe off the dust, fill any holes or gaps with wood filler, and sand smooth once dry. Apply primer if you're painting, then finish with your choice of paint or stain and seal with a durable clear topcoat. For outdoor projects, use exterior-rated primer, paint or stain, and sealer so the piece stands up to the weather.
