Step-by-step Instructions

1

Prepare the frame boards and legs

Cut the 2x4 frame pieces as shown, measuring and cutting as you go. Drill the 3/8-inch pivot holes in the side boards. Mark, drill, and trim all four folding legs using the diagram.

2

Assemble the boards

Assemble both frames with the bolt holes on the same side. Install the folding legs with bolts, washers, and nuts. Square each frame as you fasten the plywood top, then cut and sand the 6-inch scoring hole.

3

Mark the scoring holes

Use this full-size hole pattern only from the downloaded PDF printed at 100% scale. Confirm that the printed circle measures exactly 6 inches before tracing it onto the plywood.

4

Finishing

Sand all surfaces, starting with a medium grit and finishing with fine. Wipe off the dust, fill any holes or gaps with wood filler, and sand smooth once dry. Apply primer if you're painting, then finish with your choice of paint or stain and seal with a durable clear topcoat. For outdoor projects, use exterior-rated primer, paint or stain, and sealer so the piece stands up to the weather.
