Attach to legs with 2-1/2" pocket hole screws.

Set Kreg Jig to 3/4" setting.
Drill two pocket holes on each end of all of the 1x3 boards. Attach one 1x3 board centered in middle of each shelf with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws. With a 7/8" gap, work outward, attaching slats as you go.

Step 4
Drill 3/4" pocket holes every 6-8" along edges of 1x12 or plywood pieces. Attach inside top of project. NOTE: In the video there is an alternative method that you can do using 1-1/4" brad nails and cleats.

Step 5

Step 6
Repeat steps for the smaller X pieces ( make sure you watch video for tips on how to do this )

Step 7
Bridge Option: For the bridge, we simply used pocket holes to add a 1x12 and 2x2s in between two consoles.

Finishing
Sand all surfaces, starting with a medium grit and finishing with fine. Wipe off the dust, fill any holes or gaps with wood filler, and sand smooth once dry. Apply primer if you're painting, then finish with your choice of paint or stain and seal with a durable clear topcoat. For outdoor projects, use exterior-rated primer, paint or stain, and sealer so the piece stands up to the weather.
