Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1
Build the body with 2-3/4" screws

Attach the front neck piece.
NOTE: I did not attach the top piece at this stage because it wouldn't allow my project to sit flat. I did this as the last step.

Step 3
Attach the sides to the body with the shorter screws.

Step 4
This was a little tricky - what I did was attach the legs with one screw on each leg, then set the reindeer upright to make sure it wasn't wobbly, and rotated the legs as needed to get them to set flat. Then I attach the legs with a second screw.

The face is attached from the back with screws.
I would attach the ears/top 2x2 at this point.

Finishing
Sand all surfaces, starting with a medium grit and finishing with fine. Wipe off the dust, fill any holes or gaps with wood filler, and sand smooth once dry. Apply primer if you're painting, then finish with your choice of paint or stain and seal with a durable clear topcoat. For outdoor projects, use exterior-rated primer, paint or stain, and sealer so the piece stands up to the weather.
